Psychotherapy

In this space, we have a conversation about the story that has brought you to therapy. As Maya Angelou says, “the most painful story is the one that has not been heard”. I believe people live their lives as stories. These stories are privileged at different times in the spaces we inhabit. As a therapist, I want to hear your story and understand how it affects you and the relationships that you have.

Together, we can have a conversation about how well these stories are serving you; think about the stories you want to keep, how tight or light you want to hold on to the stories or maybe discard them. As the author of your book, by the end of our sessions, I hope to empower you to re-author your story into a story that can be heard.

Consultancy

help leaders, teams and organisations thrive. My approach is influenced by a Systems Psychodynamic approach. This approach incorporates three overlapping frameworks of thinking. These are psychoanalysis, systems thinking and group behaviour. This unique way of thinking about dilemmas gives clients the depth of understanding that gets to the heart  of any situation.

It brings to the surface the interconnected relationship between stories, behaviours and task performance.

I look at how people work together with a particular focus on behaviour as communication. I focus on relationships and relatedness. The latter places emphasis on employees having a strong working relationship with colleagues and feeling a part of the company.

Uncovering this dynamic helps me to support leaders and teams in designing structures that give clarity and align with the teams overall primary task and the organisations responsibilities. The impact of this is that it creates a culture of collaboration,  efficiency and sustained performance.

Coaching

As a coach, I am not a traditional or purist coach. I am a transformational Ubuntu coach. This means that I am curious about the stories that influence one’s behaviours and the patterns that are created thereof. The stories I am curious about are stories of self and stories about the organization. This lens makes me coach from inside out.

By knowing the self of the client, I am privileged into a position that allows me to understand their meaning making processes and be curious about how these narratives interface with their sense of self, their role, their vision and the organisations vision and culture. In these sessions, the client and I co-create a safe space where a new sense of being can be explored, discovered and nurtured.

My middle name is Ratidzo, which means light. As a coach, I bring light to your steps. My unique approach to coaching is based on combining Systemic and Ubuntu principles of interconnectedness and building on the seldom heard story. I embed change through neuroscience and equip you with the skills you need to take your next step.

I coach individuals, teams, groups.

Facilitation

As a facilitator, my highest context is to break down information into ways that my audience can connect with and make sense of. This I do by educating the heart first.

I use storytelling as a mode to connect with everyone. As Aristotle stated educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all. Storytelling invites a heart connection. It creates sacredness of the space. A heart led understanding. A heartfelt learning. It invites creativity, transparency and a sense of ownership. A sense of ownership creates a sense of responsibility for one`s own learning. This creates a learning context where facilitation becomes a conversation, a conversation between me and my audience.

A conversation affords me the ability to connect with my audience from their point of reference. The conversation becomes reflective and collaborative. Within this collaboration we can co-create a learning environment that is conducive to receiving new information and motivating enough to try new techniques or embed differences in thoughts.

I am a lead facilitator for leadership residentials. I facilitate trainings and team away days.
